With many other music streaming services in market, Samsung unveils ‘Milk Music’ exclusively for Galaxy phones. While its free and available only in US the company is ready to have a face off with Pandora, Spotify and Apple’s iTunes.
Powered with Slacker Radio, with over 200 channels, it is having more than 13 million songs refined by top in industry DJs. Stating on official website, “Exclusive to Galaxy owners, MilkMusic™ is an ad-free* radio service that gives you more of the music you love, curated by top DJs and industry pros and all for free*”, and downloadable via Google play it comes available for Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Note II handsets with a free service. It will also be shipped with Samsung S5 which was unveiled at CES this year.
Although its a ads-free service, website statements carry a ‘star’ saying free service will only be for a limited period of time. As of user interface, this new app is very much for end user’s personalized experience, stating “Milk Music lets you adjust what songs play, based on factors like release date and popularity. You can also customize your dial by adding preferred stations—or create your own—so your favorites will always be on hand.” allowing user to choose songs on the basis of various factors like release date, popularity and so on. It also has a dial carrying different genres for user to select from, which in turn can be customized to have favorite channels or stations on it.
