Facebook is easily one of the top social networking services to exist currently in the planet, apart from Twitter.
And while the service has seen quite a bit of popularity via its PC Internet-based offering, the service's dedicated apps for the likes of Android and iOS has promoted its popularity two-fold. But similar may not be the case with the app made for the Windows Phone platform. And while the Windows Phone version of the Facebook app is yet to gain some kind of solid traction, it seems like the developers are doing their bit to promote the app as much as possible. And keeping up with the willingness to bring the Facebook app for Windows Phone on a similar pedestal as that of Android and iOS, Microsoft has just released a new beta version of Facebook for Windows Phone devices.
With the new beta update now pushed out, those who already have the application installed on their devices will be asked to update to Facebook Beta 5.2.3.1. And while there aren't many new features included via the update, still there are some bugs that may have been fixed with the update. However, the one new feature that has been included in this update is the support for custom notification sounds. Although users can't select their own sounds for the same, Facebook has included their own new sound.
