Swarms of Swedes descended upon a Stockholm office for Sweden's national jobs agency (Arbetsförmedlingen) on Wednesday after workers accidentally invited 61,000 people instead of 1,000.
Tens of thousands of Stockholmers flooded to the central offices of the jobs agency on Wednesday afternoon after a "technical issue" meant that over 60 times too many people were invited to a recruitment event.
Eeva Vestlund, the head of the Stockholm office, apologized for the incident.
"We're very sorry people came unnecessarily," she told the Aftonbladet newspaper on the scene.
"I understand they're disappointed with us. This has never happened before and won't happen again."
