The weekend. It should be your respite and your chance to step away from the stress of your normal work week. But for many women across the country, Saturdays and Sundays are equally as stressful as Mondays and Tuesdays. Why? Two reasons:
- We work so hard during the week, we save everything personal in the realm of errands for the weekend. So instead of relaxing, we spend Saturday running from place to place trying to squeeze in laundry, friends, dry cleaning, workouts, and more more more more more more more.
- We go into the office! It’s become 100% acceptable (I’m guilty of it, too, so don’t worry, I’m not lecturing) to spend all day on the weekends in your office. I can’t count how many times women have told me they “get more done on the weekends” because it’s quiet in the office. Why is it quiet? Because the people who aren’t stressed and have balance are at home!
